the power of

community arts

Art should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their age, background or financial situation. Community-based arts hold a special place in my heart, and it will always be a part of my artistic process. Below are a few community-based projects I've led  -- with hopefully more to come.

mosaic 'quilt'

This community based mosaic project is a nationally recognized living art piece, brought to Burlington, VT. With the help of a few community peers, we were able to organize a community event that allowed for art making, fundraising, and relationship building; expressing the importance of access to safe and accessible abortion care for all.

produce tiles

During my time at Essex High school, I was able to introduce a community project into the classroom. Students made produce inspired artist tiles that have been hung as backsplash in the EHS cooking classroom.
